A personal account works. MeetVoice doesn't depend on your Google plan: it translates the sound of your Google Meet tab in Chrome on your own computer, so it works the same with a personal account, Business Starter or any other Workspace edition. Google's own translated captions are listed only for some Workspace editions, starting with Business Standard. On a company-managed device, your IT team can still block extensions or app installs.

You need Google Chrome on a Windows computer or on a Mac with Apple Silicon running macOS 13 or later, the MeetVoice extension from the Chrome Web Store and the MeetVoice desktop app. The other participants install nothing: they join Google Meet as usual and, once you turn on translation of your speech, hear you as a translated voice.

MeetVoice supports multilingual meetings — turn on the mode in the extension panel and pick 2–4 expected participant languages from English, German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch and Hindi. Each incoming speech segment is detected automatically and translated into your language; speaker names and color tags in the subtitles make it easy to follow who's speaking what. Multilingual mode listens to other participants only and uses your plan's translation hours, like the regular mode. For two-way voiceover of your own speech, use the regular language-pair mode.

The trial is 30 minutes with no payment or card required. Paid plans start at €9/month (Starter, 5 h of translation), €29/month (Pro, 20 h), or €79/month (Business, 60 h). Voiceover is included in every plan. Translation hours renew every month on the day you subscribed; if you use them up, translation pauses until they renew — or upgrade your plan to continue right away.

In the Lemon Squeezy customer portal: enter the email you used at checkout, and you'll get a sign-in link by email. There you can cancel, switch plans, update your payment method and see your billing history. After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for and doesn't renew. Can't access that email, or have a question about a charge? Contact our support team.

The app on your computer recognizes speech, translates it, and speaks the translation — all automatically. All you need is a stable internet connection.

No, subtitles are only visible to you — unless you share the meeting tab or your screen, which shares them too. Your conversation partner hears your speech as a translated voice only if you turn on translation of your speech in the extension — it is off by default.

English, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Hindi, Chinese, Vietnamese, Croatian, Serbian, Slovenian, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian — in any combination. You read and hear your partner in your language, and once you turn on translation of your speech, they hear you in theirs.

While translation runs, MeetVoice writes a transcript in a real-time panel with speaker names and timestamps: the other participants' speech with its translation, and your own speech too when translation of your speech is on (it is off by default). After the meeting you can export the transcript as a styled PDF, SRT (for subtitle editors) or plain TXT. Up to 50 meetings are saved in history.
